Unfortunately, the Windows OS is not without errors, and since you are reading this you are probably experiencing errors yourself. It is recommended to always run a registry cleaner at set intervals because it will help you avoid most errors. A very common errors that many Windows user are experiencing is the Microsoft Visual C++ Library Runtime Error.
What is the Microsoft Visual C++ Library Runtime Error?
The Microsoft Visual C++ Library Runtime Error is caused by internal conflicts between programs and applications. The Mosearch.exe (Microsoft Office Search Service) and Mosdmn.exe (Microsoft Office 10 Search Filter Daemon) Startup items may be conflicting with some other program (or programs) running in the background is the most common cause of this error. And to fix this error it is recommended to install a registry cleaner as errors in the registry can corrupt EXE files and this could just be the start of other future issues.
By using a good registry cleaner you may not have to spend time on the steps below, take some time to visit Reg Genie, scan your system for errors, clean up your registry and get rid of any errors located there.
To attempt to manually fix the Microsoft Visual C++ Library Runtime Error you need to clean boot your computer with only MoSearch selected on the Startup menu to determine whether this program is the source of the conflict.
Manual Solution
- Click” Start”, and then click “Run”.
- In the Open box, type “msconfig.exe”, and then click OK.
- On the “General” tab, click “Selective startup”.
- On the “Startup” tab, click to clear all check boxes except for “MoSearch”.
- Click OK, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
If you still get the error message, repeat the preceding steps detailed above. In step 3, also click to clear the Process System.ini file and Process Win.ini file check boxes. If this stops the error message from occurring it indicates that MoSearch is conflicting with some other application or applications running in the background.
To eliminate this problem entirely it is best to delete Mosdmn.exe and Mosearch.exe. Note that by doing this you will disable the “support for faster searching” feature in office, but the Microsoft Visual C++ Library Runtime Error will disappear.
But there still may be other errors in the system that have yet to surface so you should run a registry cleaner on a regular basis to repair any errors in the registry and prevent future problems.
Download a Registry Cleaner now and increase computer speed.

Hello, been following your blog for some time. I manage a comparable blogging site however I always keep getting a lot of spam remarks, how do you keep your blog so clean?
I’m using a WordPress powered blog, and I’m going to assume you are using one aswell, I don’t know if you have comment moderation turned on in your admin panel, this can easily be set under Settings > Reading, this can allow you to hold a comment for moderation before it appears on your site, by default it should be turned on, but if you have a lot of comment spam it might be a good idea to check.
For spam protection I’m using a plugin called WP-Spam Free, which has stopped a large number of spam posts, other than that, I guess I’m just lucky, I do get the odd spam comments and even e-mails, but thats just the name of the game, a lot of people want to get their website, product or service out to as many people as possible and wont really care who’s toes they step on.
My advice; have good spam protection on your blog, and use a captcha on your contact page to weed out the robots, other than that you just have to delete the posts you deem irrelevant or spammy.
Good luck
