1. Click” Start”, and then click “Run”.
2. In the Open box, type “msconfig.exe”, and then click OK.
3. On the “General” tab, click “Selective startup”.
4. On the “Startup” tab, click to clear all check boxes except for “MoSearch”.
5. Click OK, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.

If you still get the error message, repeat the preceding steps detailed above. In step 3, also click to clear the Process System.ini file and Process Win.ini file check boxes. If this stops the error message from occurring it indicates that MoSearch is conflicting with some other application or applications running in the background.

To eliminate this problem entirely it is best to delete Mosdmn.exe and Mosearch.exe. Note that by doing this you will disable the “support for faster searching” feature in office, but the Microsoft Visual C++ Library Runtime Error will disappear.
